Ultrasonic cleaning of valves, injectors, cylinders
Factories in the pneumatic and hydraulic component sector were among the first to purchase ultrasonic cleaning systems, for both the final and intermediate manufacturing phases.
With ultrasonic cleaning, the otherwise inaccessible inner parts can be cleaned, achieving the discharge and removal of all foreign matter such as scraps, swarf and metal filings.
During the performance of maintenance, in many cases there is a savings in labour as perfect cleaning can be achieved without the need to disassemble parts.
Cleaning is performed with water-based detergents with a low concentration of alkaline solution (3-5%) at a moderate temperature (60°C).
Ultrasonic cleaning systems are indispensable for the pneumatic and hydraulic sector.
It is interesting to note the final ultrasonic cleaning is used “as a test” to ensure the product is completely free of foreign bodies which could cause the apparatus to malfunction.
In a recent case, it was found that the number of faults and malfunctions in parts subjected to ultrasonic cleaning was reduced by 50%.
