Immersible ultrasonic tranducers and ultrasonic plates
Manufactured with IGBT technology, MOG ultrasonic generators represent the state of the art in the sector:
- Multifrequency operation.
- Turbotronic operation for forced cleaning.
- Base frequency of 33,000 Hz.
- Pulse mode
- Sweep mode
- Special degasification
- Setting on RS232 serial port with program contained on CD_ROM.
- DB25 port for remote control: ON/OFF, 4 power levels.
- ETHERNET port for network connection

With fully automatic operation, controlled by a 32-bit microprocessor, they adjust to the variables of the baths (temperature, density, concentration, movement of pieces, level of detergent contamination, etc.) and coordinate the various parameters (frequency, pulse, power, impedance, coupling), ensuring maximum efficiency is achieved every time.
The display shows the principal values such as:
frequency
power
absorption
Faults are also reported (faulty transducer connection, short-circuit in the transducers, low power supply or no power) and provisions to be adopted to resolve them.
A CD-ROM is also provided which contains the software for those who want to change the settings of the main parameters or restore them to their default settings if they were modified for any reason.
PZT Elements
MORONI PZT elements are applied to the vertical walls and/or the base of tanks using our exclusive welding and bonding system.
Ceramic elements (lead zirconate-titanate and barium) are sintered and polarised at high temperatures to make them piezoelectric, 50 diameter, 70 watt high yield power each (over 95%) and mechanical strength guaranteed for 5 years.
The PZT Elements and generators can be assembled on tanks provided by customers who want to equip them with an ultrasonic cleaning system.
Ultrasonic Immersible Transducers “MTRI”
In cases where it is not possible to directly apply the elements externally to the vertical walls and/or under the bottom of the tank, “immersible transducers” are used, meaning the PZT elements are hermetically sealed in a AISI 316 20/10 stainless steel container.
Care must be taken when constructing the container, which is subjected to considerable mechanical stresses due to the vibration forces of the internal PZT elements. We have used a special ISO 9001:2000 certified procedure for years:
- Continuous cord welding in accordance with the TIG standard
- Welds checked with penetrating liquids before final closure of weld
- Immersion in a lighted tank and introduction of compressed air at 12 BAR
- Commissioning at maximum power for 48 hours non-stop
- Three-dimensional colour ultrasound imaging
- Mirror polishing of the radiating face and thick chromate conversion coating
Particular attention is paid to the positioning of the PZT elements, which must be spaced as far as possible from each other. Lastly, they are coated with a special heat-conducting material to dissipate the heat produced by the Joule effect.
